Why Outsource Your Marketing?

Many years ago, I was a young marketing manager at growing franchise. Our budget was very small at the time so I was a staff of one. I worked with the Operations team on upcoming promotions, developed supporting materials, bought the media, made content, and tracked the results. My unique background made me perfect for the job, I was a combination of creative and analytical thinking. I didn’t have a graphic design department, I didn’t have a media buyer, I didn’t have a production team, and I didn’t have an analytics team. I was a jack-of-all-trades and I got things done!

However, I was getting pulled in so many different directions that I became unable to give certain objectives the attention they deserved. I was executing tactics, but I wasn’t executing them as well as I could have. By creating this environment of the “jack-of-all-trades, master of none,” we were stunting opportunities for growth.

We hired a project manager, a graphic designer, and a digital specialist. We also hired a traditional agency. We stopped playing “Whack-A-Mole” and began growing the company through these new increased resources. However, our needs for growth were now amplified since we needed to account for 3 new salaries and monthly agency fees.

Sound familiar?

Had a viable outsourced marketing department option been available at that time, we could have gained access to the experts we needed for the cost of one full-time employee (FTE) instead of three FTE’s and an agency. That conundrum is why I have developed an outsourced marketing department ready to help you grow your business.

With an agency, you are paying a set rate that covers everyone they employ and everything they offer. But, you likely don’t need everyone and everything they do. Their rate also covers their overhead. You’re already paying your own fixed costs, now you’re paying theirs too? Your business is unique and so are your needs, your marketing department should reflect that.

Our outsourced marketing department is decentralized because we don’t believe in passing our fixed costs on to you. Being decentralized allows us to hire the best experts in their respective fields regardless of where they live. We are then able to tailor to the needs of our clients at an absolute minimum overhead.

By outsourcing, you don’t pay for things you don’t need or use. You have access to the tools, people, and resources you need when you need it. It’s a virtual grab-bag of specialists who are at the top of their field ready to execute your marketing needs on your terms.

We also don’t believe in monthly contracts. We believe in results-driven marketing and know our results will speak for themselves. However, if for any reason you want to change things, pause, or stop – you can at any time.

I started building an outsourced marketing department in 2006 and have relationships with specialists in nearly every field imaginable. I have agreements with both agencies and contract workers, unlike other places who just list your work on bidding sites for random people they have no relationship with. I place integrity at the core of everything we do. This quality is the prerequisite for every relationship we forge, from client to vendor.

If you have a “jack-of-all-trades” working for you, ask yourself this: What would they do if they had more capacity? Would they be able to focus more on growth? When companies outsource their marketing, we find that people stop managing tactics and start get strategic. We see people begin asking questions that lead to solutions. We see businesses grow.
